1. Overview

These Terms govern your use of the Ledger Fitness application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account and using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge that you have reviewed our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must:

• be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and
• have the authority to agree to these Terms.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for:

• maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials,
• the accuracy of information you provide,
• and all activity under your account.

You may sign in using a third-party provider such as Google. By doing so, you authorize us to access the basic profile information provided by that service (such as email, name, and profile picture) for authentication purposes only.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for harmful behavior or violation of these Terms.

4. Fitness and Health Information (Not Medical Advice)

The Service allows users to log fitness data, photos, and body metrics. This information is used for general wellness insights and tracking only.

The Service does not:

• provide medical or diagnostic advice,
• claim to prevent, cure, or treat disease,
• replace professional healthcare guidance.

You should consult a qualified professional before making major changes to your health or fitness routine.

5. AI-Generated Content

Some features of the Service use artificial intelligence ("AI") to analyze data and generate insights, summaries, or recommendations.

AI output:

• may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading,
• is not reviewed or verified by a human, and
• is provided for informational purposes only.

You are responsible for any decisions you make based on AI-generated output.

6. Blog Content

The Ledger Fitness blog publishes articles on fitness planning, accountability, and related topics. You should be aware of the following:

• Blog articles, including text and accompanying images, are generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence.
• Some articles are attributed to named author personas (e.g., "Elena Chen", "Marcus Rivera", "Jo Hartley"). These are fictional characters created for editorial variety. They do not represent real individuals. Author photographs are also AI-generated.
• The "Ledger Fitness Editorial Team" byline indicates content produced by AI on behalf of the company.
• Blog content is informational and educational only. It does not constitute medical, nutritional, or professional fitness advice.
• AI-generated blog content may contain inaccuracies or outdated information.

7. Data Sharing with Accountability Partners

The Service includes optional data sharing with an accountability partner chosen by you. Sharing is controlled through in-app settings, and certain categories of data require your explicit consent before sharing.

When you enable sharing for a given category, you authorize us to display that data to your selected accountability partner until you disable sharing. We are not responsible for how your partner uses the data you choose to share.

8. User Content and Responsibilities

You may upload content such as notes, photos, and plans. By doing so, you confirm you have the rights to that content and that it does not violate the rights of others.

You agree not to upload or share:

• unlawful, abusive, harassing, or hateful content,
• harmful software or content designed to disrupt the Service,
• personal or confidential information of others without consent.

We may remove content or restrict access if it violates these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and its content are owned by Ledger Fitness or its licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

10. Service Changes and Availability

We may update, change, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• data loss,
• reliance on AI output,
• actions or content of other users,
• or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

If we are found liable, our maximum liability will not exceed the amount you have paid to use the Service in the previous 12 months (or $100 if no payment was made).

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Massachusetts, United States.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. If changes are important, we will notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
